Professor Song has majored in Manufacturing in the field of mechanical engineering and studied Powder Injection Molding, Compression Molding, Sintering etc.
He obtained his bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and PhD from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Pohang University of Science and Technology.
After many years of working in LG Production Engineering Institute, Inc. Cetatech, Pennsylvania State University, and Mississippi State University, he is now a professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Pohang University of Science and Technology.
He is also the director of the research department and the CEO of the POSTECH Technology Holding Company, supervising the sectors of patent, technology transfer, foundation, and enterprise connection for technical commercialization of research and revitalization of business start-ups.
